Team Lava Flow
Lava Flow
Lava Lamp is a 2D side scrolling two player competitive growth game, where players strive to become the biggest glob in the lamp by collecting other colored bits before time runs out.
Shmup Team
This is a classic top down shoot 'em up (a la Aero Fighters, Raiden, 1942) pitting two players against each other. One player controls the "Hero" ship while other player controls the enemies by selecting the kind of enemy, where and when it spawns, and how often they appear. Player two can upgrade his inventory of enemies by getting them off the screen without being hit by player one.
Soccer Mom 2 - Pitch
Here's the pitch to Soccer Mom 2, enjoy!
Soccer Mom 2
Pitch
Soccer Mom 2 is a driving game where crashing into other cars in encourage a la the Burnout series. You are a soccer mom who needs to get their children to school as fast as possible and traffic be damned if it gets in your way.
Team Munro is rockin'!
My awesome team consists of: Alexis Swartz, Michael Goss, Darius Aliyu, Christopher Mok, and the newly added Marrisa Sarabia!
The Bee Succession
The Old Queen has died off and the two remaining factions battle for control of the Hive!
Pitch: "Two players duel each with chess-like strategy and unique chosen units in an isometric perspective battle while surviving whatever hazards the environment throws at them in an attempt to kill off the opposing Queen."
Meet the Teams
We had our biggest turn out ever for Game in a Month last Wednesday, so a big thanks to everyone that joined. We have six teams of either five or six members. At the first meeting we divided up the teams and everyone brainstormed to figure out some ideas for what they wanted to make. The following posts are what the teams have decided on.

Welcome to the Blog
I'm hoping that this will be the most well documented Game in a Month (GiaM) to date. So along with the video we will be shooting during the project, this blog will be updated weekly, possibly even a few times a week. This page is going to function as a resource for anyone who wants to check on the progress of the overall project as it goes on. After each weekly meeting, each team's status on their game will be recorded here as well as any other notes we feel are worth reading. Be sure to check in regularly to make sure you don't fall behind and for various tips and suggestions on how to get the most out of your project.
